The client – a New York City sports startup that offers tailgating produces for fans at live sporting events – was searching for a digital marketing agency to help with online brand building. The company pairs sports fans and tailgating, combining the worlds in three areas: parking lot prior to the game; in-evenu activities; sports fans’ homes.The Sports Startup’s situation was unique, and its advisor wanted to expose the brand through a combination of organic SEO and Facebook marketing.
Truly a unique client, the initial goal was to create online brand awareness to attract those within not only the sports communities, but also the tailgating communities. The next goal would be to use brand building to drive sales. The client had issues with a previous digital marketing agency, and choose LSEO due to its reputation and 30+ years of successful experience across all channels of online marketing. Once the brand building was underway, the concern was being able to push the product to the audience in a timely manner – before the start of the NFL/college football season.
LSEO proposed two strategies for both short- and long-term growth: an intense paid social media advertising campaign for Facebook, and content development that would build the brand via Facebook.
LSEO morphed with this unique startup, adapting their needs with the overall digital-marketing strategy. The results were more than optimal. Through both paid advertisement and content creation, Facebook fans increased from 5,000 to more than 30,000.
