Your Website Can't Create Third-Party Validation by Itself

Your site explains what you sell. Commercial AI answers also draw from content elsewhere on the web that ranks, compares, reviews, categorizes, and recommends companies.

Mention Engine helps build the off-site recommendation footprint your owned content cannot create alone.

Questions

Mention Engine Managed Plans FAQ

What exactly counts as one managed placement?
One managed placement is one completed advertiser inclusion in a qualified third-party piece of content that is published or updated through the Mention Engine network and meets the campaign/content-type requirements. Failed, rejected, or unpublished opportunities do not consume your allocation.
Can I buy only Best Of placements?
Yes. If you select “I Know What I Want,” you can allocate all purchased placements to Best Of Lists, subject to advertiser eligibility, publisher fit, editorial credibility, and available standard inventory.
What happens if the publisher I want is expensive?
Managed plans include qualified standard publisher inventory. Premium publishers outside the standard pool are optional upgrades and are quoted separately. Choosing a premium upgrade does not reduce your base placement count.
Do I have to choose the content types myself?
No. “Let Mention Engine Build the Mix” is the default. The system researches your brand and recommends a portfolio across Best Ofs, comparisons, reviews, buyer guides, use-case recommendations, and other eligible content types.
How does annual pricing work?
Annual plans use a $379 per-placement-per-month equivalent and are billed upfront for the full year. You receive the full annual hard count — 12 times the monthly package quantity — with monthly pacing as the target.
What if an opportunity fails before publication?
It does not count. The managed placement is consumed only when the third-party inclusion is live. Publisher rejections, cancellations, or drafts that never publish remain owed and are replaced through the managed workflow.
Does a managed placement guarantee an AI recommendation?
No. Independent research supports the importance of recommendation-oriented third-party content, but no individual placement can guarantee that ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI, or another system will recommend a brand.
Can I still use Mention Engine DIY?
Absolutely. The DIY Marketplace remains available for agencies and experienced marketers who want direct control over publishers, projects, filters, and marketplace pricing. New DIY users retain the current $100 credit offer.
